AC3, E-AC3 and TrueHD support has been removed in almost all video player apps for iOS due to high licensing fee from Dolby (?)

CineXPlayer is probably the only player who actually paid for the license which will shortly make them most popular choice.

Here is a list of players I owned and which do not play AC3 audio anymore: OPlayer, GoodPlayer, AcePlayer, BuzzPlayer.

These all players had a corresponding notice when rolling out their updates and thats how I saved a copy of AcePlayer before it got updated to useless one 🙂 Thanks to that my wife can still watch movies from iPad.

Microsoft Security Essentials (or any antivirus) impact on .NET solution build time
For some time I was trying to figure out why an existing solution builds like 50% faster on my virtual Windows machine comparing to the host one. Yesterday, with a little help, I got that mystery solved -> the antivirus! If you exclude your "Projects" folder, MSBuild.exe and devenv.exe -> it compiled finally faster then on VM.
Fuh, no need to re-install Windows which I was planning to do…
